Hi Con, My wife and i really enjoyed our overnight stay at the farm this month, and were very impressed by the organisation on the farm and the friendliness of the staff.
Unfortunately we couldn't transport any of your gorgeous applejuice back home with us to Scotland on our motorcycle! Re. the discussion on wind turbines,i'd like to add my two cents worth.
Firstly, the people who quite rightly advocate them as onelternative source of power should come over to Scotland and take a look at the 300ft monstrosities that scar our previously unspoilt upland areas, and each of these so called "farms" are at least a dozen in number. Secondly, there is absolutely no way that windpower can ever hope to supply any more than a fraction of our energy needs however green it is. Best regards, Danny and Alison.
