Will the proposed dual carriageway be safer?

 
The National roads needs study says that impaired safety may result from the introduction of mixed road types over relatively short distances. This dual carriageway will be about 10 km, a relatively short distance on this roadway. Given that two roundabouts and a junction are also planned within this 6 mile stretch, it seems likely that road safety will not be assisted.
